I have been writing English grammar books since 2012. My aim is to make the students proficient in basic English grammar. I believe if the students have a good foundation on basic grammar, they will never fail in English.
The story started
I, Kamal Hossain, Lecturer , Dept. of English, Govt. Shamsur Rahman College, Gosairhat, Shariatpur, was born in Charatra, Naria, Shariatpur. I passed my SSC in 1998 from Charkumaria High School in Sakhipur. I obtained first division. I gained * marks in SSC and fortunately I obtained highest marks in the centre. I was very lucky indeed because I got 749+1*. Then I got myself admitted into Chandpur Govt. College and passed HSC in 2000 successfully obtaining another first division. At that time I was also lucky to get 603 marks in the exam.
Then I moved to Dhaka. I tried to study in Dhaka University but did not get chance. Then I got myself admitted into Jagannath College (now university) in the Department of English. I studied there one year. I participated in the admission of Jahangirnagar University for the second time and very fortunately I got chance in The Department of English. I was the 31 st batch of the university. I completed my Honours and Masters in 2005 and 2006 (held in 2008 and 2009) respectively obtaining Second Class in both levels. I had a dream to be a teacher in a government college. So, I began to take preparation for BCS exam. I passed preliminary tests five times , written exam three times and Viva Voce two times but I was not recommended to cadre.
At the beginning of my career I joined in a High School at Savar in 2009. In 2010 I joined in Shamsur Rahman College as a lecturer. The college was nationalized in 2016 and finally I became a teacher in a government College. My dream came true at last. I am very grateful to Allah for this. (Alhamdulillah)
After becoming a teacher I began to dream again. My dream was to be a writer. I began to write. I was able to publish my first English grammar book ‘ENGLISH LINK’ in 2012 . Since then I have been writing books continuously. Now I have 32 books in my storage. I write books considering the weak and medium students. In the present age in Bangladesh students are not inclined to read or learn. So, I make my books very easy so that they can understand the grammar easily. I have set few important grammar rules so that the students may have courage to read. I emphasized on Basic Grammar. I believe if the students have good knowledge over basic grammar, they will never fail. I think my books are unique.
